Qualification standard for the elite race is sub-20:00 for women and sub-17:00 for men. The time must have been run since August 1, 2006. WMA age calculations can be used by youth and masters runners to enter the elite 5k. WMA Calculator here. A 16 year old male can run about 17:35 and still run the elite race.
